Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Be an active participant in analysis, planning, architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications that support university wide offices and functions.
Responsible for building application and API services, web applications and backend server processes.
Participates in design and code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Performs application maintenance and troubleshooting, aids in resolving system outages and addressing client issues.
Stays current with best practices in software development and applies new technology where appropriate.
Good judgment, logical thinker, and detail oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years hands-on experience with coding in Java, JSP and Java servlets. Must understand and be proficient in web design using HTML5 and CSS3. Familiar with systems development in a Windows or Linux server environment.
Experience working with writing SQL using Oracle relational database systems.
Experience with web services technologies; including REST, AJAX, JSON, XML, and JQuery.
Demonstrate understanding of software development life cycle, like Agile
