Senior Microcomputer Technician

Ariel Partners is looking for the Microcomputer or Help Desk technician with experience in hardware microcomputers and a variety of industry-standard peripheral devices. 
  • Highly preferred that these individuals have 5 or more years’ experience working in a fast-paced helpdesk environment.
  • Experience with hardware should include installation, configuration, testing, and support of microcomputers, printers, print servers, scanners, modems, CD/DVD drives, tape backup units, network copiers and plotters. 
  • Experience or good knowledge with how to correctly assemble and disassemble microcomputers, install random access memory (RAM), system boards, graphics cards, sound cards, internal and external disk drives, and network interface cards, etc.
  • Experience with configuring device, BIOS, hardware and software settings for optimum performance, reliability, and device security.
  • Experienced with Windows-based software installation, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Candidate shall also know how to install and configure a variety of commercial off-the-shelf word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphics programs. 
  • Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and shall be able to identify and resolve complex programs involving the interface of both hardware and software components. 
  • Experience in to create, modify, and delete network and electronic mail accounts for the OIG community and be familiar with electronic mail utilities.
  • Candidate required to resolve complex hardware and software problems in a Microsoft Windows networking environment.
  • Has good communication skills and be able to provide effective technical assistance to non-technical personnel.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
