We are seeking a Java Developer for a 6+ month opportunity in New York, NY.
Job Description: 

Designs, develops, programs and implements in assigned project utilizing WEB environment, JAVA/J2EE, Java Server Pages, Java Script, PL/SQL, BI Publisher.
  1. Works with the business analysts and Development Manager to program the specifications and to meet ADA compliancy.
  2. Estimates the timeframe to implement the specifications.
  3. Prepares project plan and provides updates to supervisor.
  4. Participates in IEPD (Information Exchange Package Documentation) meetings.
  5. Provides programming as well as support and design documentation.
  6. Conducts unit testing.
  7. Conducts integration testing.
  8. Works with QA analyst BA analyst and RM to perform the necessary changes.
  9. Transfers knowledge of assigned projects and code to ACS personal via one on one. 
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions.
  • Specific expertise in programming in the WEB environment utilizing Java/J2EE, Java Script, Java Server Pages, PL/SQL, BI Publisher, web services.
  • Highly skilled in Core Java, Servlet, JSP, XML, XML Schema, XSLT, JAXB, EJB, JMS, HTML. DHTML, Java Script, JSTI, JAXP, PVCS, Java and J2EE Design Patterns, MVC, Spring, Ajax.
  • Minimum 2 years’ and experience in developing reports in Oracle’s BI Publisher.
  • A minimum of 6 years Java programming experience with in-depth knowledge of web technologies.
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience working with Web-logic.
  • A minimum of 1 year backend experience with Oracle12c, SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures/Functions.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the design, development, programming and implementation of IT applications utilizing relational databases.
  • Knowledge of Toad.
  • Experience in creation of design documents.
  • Quick to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic; work well within a team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and contributing estimates to the planning process.
  • Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and work well under pressure. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with working on common design patterns and industry standards.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably PVCS, TFS.
  • Versed in different development methodologies (Iterative, Agile, Scrum etc.).
  • Strong communication, analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Follow guidelines and standards as set forth by ACS and OIT.
