Project Name: The Data Center Colocation and Migration Project

TASKS & DUTIES:
  • Migration Strategy Design: Define options between lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring approaches
  • Infrastructure Design: Architect target environments (cloud, colocation, hybrid) Security and Compliance requirements like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act for protecting secure restricted data.
  • Assess workloads, create migration paths, and execute with minimal disruption
  • Analyze for technical feasibility of Oracle Fusion Middleware Apps SME to define and support the architecture and tools used, such as Oracle Portal, Reports, OBIEE, OID, ODI, and OAM on Solaris and Unix Operating systems.
  • Analyze requirements to create technical designs, data models, and migration strategies.
  • Evaluate and influence selection of data warehouse and business intelligence software.
  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders to define and implement actionable metrics, KPIs and data visualizations
  • Lead technical design and implementation of dashboards and reporting capabilities
  • Implement data quality, data integrity, and data standardization efforts across products and databases enabling key business processes and applications
  • Recommend improvements to enhance existing ETL and data integration processes to enable performance and overall scalability
  • Interact closely with Business Analysis team, ETL team and BI Reporting teams to ensure understanding of proper use of data architecture
  • Design, build, and maintain physical databases, dimensional data models, OLAP cubes, ETL layer design and data integration strategies

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 8+ years’ experience in data modeling, data administration, data security and integrity, performance monitoring, and logical and physical database design.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse Architecture, DB Administration, and ETL.
  • Strong knowledge of system upgrades, patching, Disaster Recovery, and Migration on Engineered Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of designing LDOM, ZONES in an Engineered System.
  • Experience in Migration, patching, upgrading, and recovery of Oracle Database.
  • Familiar with WebLogic/OBIEE and Fusion Middleware Administration.
  • Strong exposure of ZFS file system, designing high-redundancy grid disks on Exadata.
  • Well-versed with SSO using OAM, integration of OID with Active Directory, Security groups, and roles.
  • Exposure to OBIEE 12c, Oracle Portal, Reports server, and development.
  • Strong Working & technical knowledge of data migration, data integration, performance tuning, ETL tools(ODI, OWB), and File transfer.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems and Scheduler, scripting, and Cron jobs.
  • Technical Tools and Technologies:
  • Oracle Toolset: AWS Oracle RDS custom, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle ASM, Oracle Cloud Control, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RMAN, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Clusterware, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Oracle RAT, OCFS, OCFS2.
  • Data Replication: Oracle Golden Gate
  • Development Languages/Tools/Frameworks: SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Java, Perl, Shell Scripting, Java Script, Oracle LogMiner, Toad, SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer.
  • Access Control: SSO using OAM, integration of OID with Windows AD
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Unix (SUN Solaris), Microsoft Windows.
  • Tools: OWB, ODI, OBIEE, Oracle Portal, Oracle Report Server, WebLogic, FMW
  • Experience with: ZFS file system, LDOM, ZONES
