We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our federal program initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a business analyst or SME, with at least 5 years of direct support for federal programs, focusing on process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration. The candidate should have expertise in Agile methodologies, process mapping, workflow optimization, and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support requirements gathering sessions to define and document business needs for federal programs.
Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending effective solutions.
Facilitate process mapping and workflow optimization efforts to enhance efficiency and performance.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business requirements and system functionalities.
Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business requirements and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to ensure successful system integration and implementation.
Support Agile teams in the development and refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
Participate in the development and execution of testing plans, ensuring that systems meet business requirements and expectations.
Assist in system deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
Provide expertise and guidance to junior business analysts and project teams.
Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring that they are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience as a business analyst or SME, with at least 5 years supporting federal programs. Proven expertise in process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration.
Expertise in business process mapping and workflow optimization.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, system deployment, and testing practices.
Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication.
Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis.
Experience with various software tools for business analysis, project management, and system documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Certifications:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent preferred.
Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent preferred.
