O365 SharePoint Developer

We are looking for O365 SharePoint Developer focuses on building, configuring, and customizing SharePoint solutions within the Office 365 (O365) environment to support an organization’s collaboration and information-sharing needs. They leverage SharePoint Online and related Office 365 tools to create intranets, document management systems, automated workflows, and collaborative platforms tailored to business requirements. This role often involves using Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Power Apps, as well as modern web technologies, to enhance SharePoint functionality.
Core Responsibilities
  1. Custom Solution Development
    • Develop custom SharePoint solutions, such as intranets, portals, and document management systems, using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
    • Create custom web parts, extensions, and forms to enhance user experience and meet specific business requirements.
    • Use Power Apps to build custom applications on top of SharePoint for data entry, reporting, and task management.
  2. Workflow Automation and Business Process Optimization
    • Automate business processes by building workflows using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow).
    • Design workflows to streamline document approval, notification alerts, task assignments, and other routine processes.
    • Integrate Power Automate workflows with other Office 365 services (e.g., Teams, Outlook, OneDrive) to create seamless cross-application workflows.
  3. SharePoint Site and Content Management
    • Configure and manage SharePoint Online sites, including site collections, subsites, libraries, lists, and content types.
    • Define and apply metadata, taxonomy, and content management policies to organize documents and information efficiently.
    • Customize site templates, themes, and layouts to ensure consistency with organizational branding.
  4. Permissions and Security Management
    • Configure and manage site permissions, user roles, and group-based access to ensure secure collaboration.
    • Implement access control policies based on security best practices, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with organizational standards.
    • Use Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) to apply data loss prevention (DLP) policies, labeling, and encryption on sensitive content.
  5. Integration with Office 365 and External Systems
    • Integrate SharePoint Online with other Office 365 services like Teams, OneDrive, Planner, and Power BI for enhanced collaboration.
    • Use REST APIs, Graph API, and webhooks to connect SharePoint with external systems and data sources.
    • Build custom connectors to integrate non-Microsoft applications with SharePoint.
  6. Troubleshooting and Support
    • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot SharePoint issues, and resolve configuration or functionality errors.
    • Monitor SharePoint Online health, manage updates, and ensure high availability and performance.
    • Collaborate with IT support and administrators to address access issues, permissions conflicts, and integration challenges.
  7. User Training and Documentation
    • Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to assist end-users in navigating SharePoint solutions effectively.
    • Conduct training sessions to familiarize users with new functionalities, workflows, and custom applications.
    • Document custom solutions, workflows, configurations, and integration details to support future maintenance.
Key Skills
  1. Technical Proficiency in SharePoint Online and Office 365
    • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, site collections, lists, libraries, and content management.
    • Proficiency in configuring SharePoint settings, customizing lists and libraries, and using features like content types, metadata, and versioning.
    • Experience with Office 365 integration and related services like Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, and OneDrive.
  2. Programming and Development Skills
    • Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for building modern web parts and extensions.
    • Familiarity with REST API, Graph API, and PowerShell for custom integrations, data manipulation, and scripting.
    • Experience with Power Apps for building custom applications and with Power Automate for workflow automation.
  3. Business Process Automation
    • Experience designing and implementing workflows to automate business processes, reduce manual effort, and increase efficiency.
    • Strong understanding of Power Automate’s capabilities, including triggers, actions, and connectors.
    • Knowledge of how to integrate workflows with other Office 365 tools and services.
  4. Data Management and Governance
    • Proficiency in setting up content types, metadata, and taxonomy to manage data consistently across SharePoint sites.
    • Knowledge of information governance, compliance standards, and data security in a SharePoint environment.
    • Experience implementing DLP policies, retention policies, and secure access controls.
  5. User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design
    • Understanding of modern design principles and UX best practices for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
    • Skills in customizing SharePoint themes, layouts, and navigation to align with branding guidelines.
    • Ability to use SharePoint’s responsive design features to ensure compatibility across devices.
  6. Communication and Training
    • Strong communication skills to explain technical solutions in simple terms for end-users and stakeholders.
    • Ability to create effective documentation, tutorials, and training materials.
    • Experience conducting user training sessions and workshops to increase adoption and proficiency.
