Integrated Eligibility System (IES): The Integrated Eligibility System (IES) initiative IES is intended to help the Department of Social Services (DSS) to streamline and standardize their eligibility to better support DSS staff and improve access for applications to health and human services programs. A key component of this initiative will involve determining the integration, retirement, and modernization approach for a variety of existing DSS legacy platforms. This will include a full cataloging of key functions and capabilities of the current DSS systems, as well as a thorough analysis of both the system and operational dependencies of IES retirement/integration related decisions.
IT Development and Management: DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial.
