CurRent NYC Application Support:  The CurRent NYC (Landlord Data Analytics) project will develop technological and analytical protocols necessary to ensure the integrity of landlord data records, property records and landlord payment processes associated with the rental assistance programs administered by the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA).  In particular, the project will utilize data mining and analytic techniques to proactively identify and address data accuracy issues, and to leverage its findings and expertise to help optimize the design of CurRent, DSS’s system of record for landlord and property data used to issue rental payments. The landlord, property and payment data will be publicly available via the CurRent Landlord Portal.  By ensuring the integrity of this data on behalf of the agency, this project will be key to developing effective relationships with the landlords that house the Agency’s clients, to ensuring that payments are accurate and timely, to maximizing moveouts from shelters, to minimizing evictions and shelter re-entry, and to safeguarding the agency’s reputation.


Tasks & Duties
  • Conduct analysis, measure various areas of performance, and develop data flow process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform functional data analysis to assess the quality of data.
  • Analyze findings from the data analytics group, create and document technical specifications, facilitate complex programming tasks involving qualitative data corrections.
  • Prepare analytical reports for stakeholder’s review, enabling them to guide the team with decisions making based on timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborate with data analyst, data architect, solution architect and programmers to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.

Required Skills
  • Minimum 4 Years Conducting Analysis, creating technical workflow diagrams pertaining to complex data mapping & flow.
  • Minimum 4 Years Hands on using process mapping tools like Microsoft Visio.
  • Minimum 4 Years Defining & validating system integration test cases pertaining to data fixes.
  • Minimum 4 Years Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Minimum 4 Years Proficient in analyzing and understanding highly technical information.
  • Minimum 4 Years Ability to adapt, grasp & perform in a fast-paced environment subject to challenges in identifying bad data & bringing qualitative techniques to improve data quality.
  • Minimum 4 Years Expertise in data Visualization techniques
  • Minimum 4 Years Expertise in Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Minimum 4 Years SQL programming experience
  • Minimum 4 Years Experience in creating executive summary data reporting
