Cybersecurity Telecomm/Data Processing:  The NYC Department of Social Services / Human Resources Administration is initiating the Emergency Cybersecurity Project. Taking advantage of new technological capabilities will improve the speed and ease with which DSS/HRA can keep their Cyber infrastructure up to compliance and secured from modern threats and vulnerabilities. 


DSS has a responsibility to the citizens of New York City (our clients) as well as our staff to secure and protect all personal, business, and confidential data hosted within as well as accessed through our IT systems. The Cloud services, Licenses, Automation, Support and Professional Services will bring DSS into Compliance with Modern Cyber Security standards and help keep the agency from frequent breakdowns and failures. This will help save money in the long run and keep the agency secure from ongoing threats.



Tasks & Duties
  • Lead teams to identify, categorize, prioritize and analyze data and information to build cloud migration action plans and solution architectures.
  • Plan and execute the delivery of Centrify - Privileged Access Management (PAM) Cyber project that include health check assessments, strategy, and implementation engagements.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate  OneDrive implementation for the whole agency, which conforms to the HIPAA compliance and with Data Security Compliance.
  • Design and implement advanced functions of Office 365 and/or Azure AD Premium including security, governance and compliance.
  • Architect, design and build Cloud solutions to business requirements in accordance with enterprise application and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines.
  • Create network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
  • Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identify and defend against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.
  • Drive improvement initiatives related Cloud Infrastructure , On-prem servers and Hybrid environment using creative implementation techniques, Exchange online configuration, Azure cloud configuration , MFA and Data Security policies, and using tools such as PowerShell, Active Directory Users and Computers, Azure AD Connect, Intune, Security and Compliance tools.

Required Skills
  • Minimum 4 Years Strong knowledge with Cloud technologies such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Minimum 4 Years Strong knowledge with Security and Compliance with regards to Best Security practices and HIPAA compliance.
  • Minimum 4 Years Strong knowledge of Intune management.
  • Minimum 4 Years Strong knowledge of Azure Resources Management.
  • Minimum 4 Years Strong knowledge of the Power Platform
  • Minimum 4 Years Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, planning, and execution skills.
  • Minimum 4 Years Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to the IT workforce and to effectively.
