Enterprise Solutions Management (ESM): The Enterprise Solutions Management (ESM) Unit is responsible for developing and maintaining web and mobile applications as well as providing support services required to enable the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) to achieve its mission of preventing and addressing homelessness in New York City (NYC). The applications are designed to provide data that facilitates accurate and quick electronic reporting used to make decisions on program planning, client services, reporting to internal and government stakeholders as well as eliminate the need for manual data collection tools. The Support Services Team provides technical support to internal and external providers in DHS managed intake centers, homeless shelters and administrative offices throughout NYC.
Tasks & Duties
Develop system design, documentation and perform coding
Develop the application using C#, .Net, .Net Core, Web API, Angular 12/13/15 and SQL Server 2019.
Develop the application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable applications to communicate with each other.
Design and develop databases that support the application.
Provide estimates and manage the work plan for product development.
Design and implement reports to track project progress and provide an audit trail of user access and actions performed.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback.
Conduct and/or coordinate unit acceptance testing of the application’s features and functionality.
Develop and transform business requirements into detailed technical deliverables.
Analyze issues and identifies solutions to technical problems timely.
Stay up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies to improve skills and knowledge.
Use JIRA and the Agile Development Methodology as project management tools for product delivery.
Conduct research and prepare proof of concept documents.
Required Skills
Minimum 4 Years Experience with ASP.NET, .Net, Web API, Angular, Angular Js, and SQL Server 2016.
Minimum 4 Years Experience with working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and DevOps tools like Octopus and Jenkins.
Minimum 4 Years Experience creating data architecture diagrams used for database design and data migration.
Minimum 4 Years Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Minimum 4 Years Experience conducting research and preparing proof of concept documents.
