We are seeking a Financial Operations Lead to help ensure that the company’s financial operations run smoothly. This role will have the freedom and flexibility to develop processes and procedures to increase efficiency and provide value to our stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess great communication skills and a can-do attitude, be dependable, detail oriented, and able to work in both a team environment and in an individual capacity.
The Financial Operations Lead is responsible for completing financial activities to support accurate balance sheet/P&L reporting and efficient cash management.
Approve vendor invoices and settle payments
Verify General Ledger account coding and accuracy of expense reports
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies associated with payment processing
Monitor and manage Vault’s corporate credit card program
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports
Monitor the company’s daily cash positions; perform required funding and transfers
Perform intercompany balance settlement
Maintain listings of unprocessed cash and bank reconciliation items, and coordinate resolution with Finance team members
Liaise with bank relationship managers for maintenance of bank accounts
Monitor bank fees and identify cost saving opportunities
Monitor compliance with state escheat procedures and perform escheatment as required
Collaborate effectively with Finance team members to ensure a fast and smooth month-end close
Assist in financial management and reporting activities
Develop and document key controls and procedures
Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
4+ years of relevant experience preferred
Proficient working with Microsoft Excel, experience using Workday a plus
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
High degree of organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding time management skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
